The recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Alberta urged two local Calgary music establishments to impose a new requirement where patrons have to show proof of vaccination to gain admittance to their shows and events.
The Palomino Smokehouse and Social Club and Dickens posted in their social media accounts not long ago the new proof of COVID-19 vaccination requirement before guests will be allowed in their venues.
This is to curb the further spread of the virus in the province of Alberta, which has spiked to 629 new test-positive cases as of Tuesday.
The Palomino Smokehouse and Social Club emphasized that this new requirement will be applied in their establishment by September 3. In addition, patrons are instructed to either show proof of vaccination or a certified COVID-19 negative result within 72 hours of any of its events.
As for Dickens, the proof of vaccination shall be used as the basis for admittance. It also urges customers who already bought tickets but won’t be able to attend due to being unvaccinated to send an update via email as soon as possible.
