New Year’s Eve Event in Niagara Falls Cancelled Again

Officials have recently announced that they will cancel this year’s annual outdoor New Year’s Eve event in Niagara Falls again. According to a joint statement issued by the Niagara Parks Commission and the City of Niagara Falls, the said event is called off due to the persisting risk of COVID-19.

This cancellation of the Niagara Falls annual outdoor New Year’s Eve event is already the second time due to the pandemic. Officials ordered the first cancellation in 2020. However, the City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Parks Commission officials pointed out that the other activities slated to take place like the Niagara Falls Music Live and the OPG Winter Festival of Lights will still push through.

Remarkably, the news of the cancellation of the Niagara Falls annual outdoor New Year’s Eve event came almost immediately after Ontario announced lifting capacity requirements for bars and restaurants, including gyms, and other related public venues and establishments across the province.
