Legal advocacy organization, Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, related that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate has become “totalitarian” in nature and is already making unvaccinated Canadians “second class citizens” in their country.
According to the group’s president, lawyer John Carpay, Trudeau recently announced that those who still haven’t had their COVID-19 vaccine jabs would lose several of their Constitutional freedoms if they don’t get the experimental injections.
Carpay stressed that besides losing their right to travel within and outside Canada freely, unvaccinated individuals wouldn’t be allowed to participate in public events and activities, including losing their right to earn a living. “We were recently promised this past summer that life would go back to normal,” he pointed out. “Once 70% of Canadians were injected with mRNA.”
However, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms president emphasized that even though Canada has already achieved a high vaccination rate, the COVID-19 virus is still up and about infecting many people. Carpay added that the “new mRNA vaccine also provides no guarantee against the Delta variant.”
Trudeau justified that the vaccine mandate was meant to “protect” Canadians who have already received their jabs from unvaccinated people who are likely to get them sick. However, the Prime Minister stressed that this protection is primarily aimed at children who may bear the brunt of the severe health problems that COVID-19 has the capability of bringing about.
Carpay related that this scenario is already turning into segregation and discrimination. He also reasoned that Trudeau’s statement is “highly misleading” since government data and statistics gathered from “every Canadian province, and from countries around the world, tell us that children, teenagers, and young adults face no serious threat from COVID.”
Moreover, Allison Pejovic, a staff lawyer for the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, emphasized that “there is no scientific basis for turning unvaccinated Canadians into second-class citizens.” She explained that “medical reports and scientific studies make it clear that both vaccinated and unvaccinated people spread COVID-19.”
Carpay contended that while the threat of COVID-19 is real, the fear of the virus is “wildly exaggerated.”
“If the government intends to implement these vaccine travel mandates and give them the force of law, these policies can then be challenged in court,” Carpay pointed out. “When people hear a message thousands of times, they believe it to be true,” he reminded, alluding to the misinformation campaign masterminded by the Nazis to have complete control of the populace during their reign.
