If you’re anything like most people, chances are you’ve had your fair share of ordering food via Uber Eats, especially during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. But have you ever spent more than $1,700 to satisfy your food cravings?
In April, the crew of Poulet Rouge at the CF Promenades St-Bruno, famous for its chicken and bowls, were tasked to prepare an order that amounted to a whopping $1,715.88, tax excluded.
According to Poulet Rouge’s director of marketing Annie Beauregard, the hefty order was made at 3:45 pm on April 3. It consisted of 39 Rouge bowls, 39 Poulet Rouge poutines, 15 veggie bowls, and 39 quinoa bowls. She added that “fortunately, all of our packaging is compostable” because “a lot of delivery bags were used.”
